Ord:

An inventory has survived which tells much of the home of one of the earliest Ord family members.  For others, wills have survived although few documents give much detail of how the men of the family earned their living.

Brigham:

A family which appears to originate in Yorkshire, the Brighams settled on Holy Island.  The men were mariners in early times, but later, there were joiners and carters.
